A Philadelphia tall clock attributed to John Wood and Henry Clifton currently housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Arts. The main photo is from American Furniture in the Metropolitan Museum of Arts p307 as my version is under construction. The case is made from walnut and boasts a fully enclosed bonnet with arched cornice, 3 flame finals and elegant applied scrollboard carving. The arched hood is supported by freestanding columns in the front and split columns at the back. Waist and lower doors are from figured crotch stock.
Clock works by David Lindow.
